The New Russet

This may not make a lot of sense to some of you, so I will do my best to explain it:

Damon Thorn (the ferret) is a character based off of Sherlock Holmes, and his sidekick (the squirrel), Quindon Russet, is based off Dr. Watson.

In the original Sherlock Holmes stories, Watson was a tall, slim, "ladies man", who was also a war doctor. In later stories, however, Watson somehow became depicted as a short, dumpy, doof of a man who was an essentially useless character only good for comic relief.

Av-marten, the creator of Damon and Quindon, dislikes the second version of Watson, and made Quindon like the original Watson.

Now, at one point in time, Av-marten showed me a comic of the original Watson meeting the new Watson, and expressing his distaste and disbelief that he could have been traded in for a fat comic relief who mostly talked about how he liked jam.

This comic of mine is based on that comic. Damon Thorn is explaining his reasonings for the conclusion of their current mystery, only to find that his friend and sidekick has been replaced by a fat, sloppy squirrel who liked jam (a little too much).

The real Quindon, however, is not about to be replaced, and comes running in to... express his dislike for his new self (ahem), and so, told the new Quindon that his services would not be required after all.

So that's it, pretty much. I hope you all enjoy this, silly though it is.
