Another addition to my list of 'Tirzah' characters.
Here we have Drenn, another captain in Kushal's horde. Looking at him, and also seeing that he is an otter, you'd probably think he's every bit as skilled, fierce, and experienced as Senka and Gerrick. Well, actually, he's not.
Drenn's background is perhaps one of the most interesting out of all the villains: he used to be a simple farmer who was actually taken captive by Kushal's horde, and lined up with the slaves.
Then one day, one of the soldiers challenged the otter to a fight, thinking he could have some fun with the slave. Drenn managed to kill the soldier, and Kushal, seeing this, offered the otter a position as one of his fighters.
Drenn took the offer. And what's more, even though he never took part in any of the beatings of the slaves, he did nothing to stop it, or to do anything to help them. He didn't care about them, he only wanted his own saftey and pleasure.
This otter is not like most otters you read about. This one is a coward who crawled on his belly up the ladder until he somehow gained captaincy.
Gerrick the squirrel holds a very strong contempt for Drenn, and often does all he can to humiliate the otter. Senka the vixen likes to join in every once in a while. Drenn is terrified of them and Kushal, and follows every order they hurl at him (which is perhaps why he was chosen to be a captain).
